I just read an article in the May addition of Airgunner Mag and thought Id share it with you guys as it is a simple test to see how your new rifle performs. I find this interresting because I just bought a Falcon FN19 FAC .20 at 28fpe. I havent taken it out yet, but this is what Ill do before we go hunting. This is probably boring stuff for all the gurus out there but here it s anyway. Mat Manning did this test with his new BSA Super Ten FAC .22 at around 30 Fpe. He made a target with 7 x 25mm circles on it. Each representing 10 yards difference. 7 targets between 10 and 70 yards. He then shot 5 shot groupings using 16.25 grain round headed pallets from a dead rest, with his scope was zeroed at 35 yards. All the shot were aimed at the centre of each target. The result is like a graph that shows you what happens to your pallet in the air. I cant scan the photo, but I made a simple drawing that illustate the same. He goes on about chrono stats and all sorts of stuff that I dont have the patience to type out. Go do the test. I sure will.
