Most of you would not know that we participated against Namibia in Bench Rest this past week.
The centre fire rifle results does not concern me as much as the Air Rifles and Rim Fire results do.
Nick Schoolwinkel's 12 year old son was borne to shoot; a natural, if ever one was borne. This little chappie does not sit still for longer than three seconds at a time unless when he shoots. He would finish his detail in way under five minutes when he has twenty and still hand in a score nearer full score more often than not, in any wind or condition. He shoots so fast you would think he uses a automatic weapon. He did the same thing again this past week:
WBSF African Shoot Results for PCP Rifles.
1st Niel Terblanche Snr 490 5x
2nd Coenie Schoonwinkel Jnr 490 2x
1st Junior and Sporter Class with a 3rd unlimited class.
This is great, I think, for a youngster of not 13 yet against adults that have been shooting more years than what he is old.
Air Arms in S400 guise has proven it self again as a top class rifle.
Congratulations to all the shots that participated in Namibia and kept our flag flying high.
As a matter of interest, South Africa will be hosting the Bench Rest World Championship at Krokodilspruit next year.
