    Hi Lads

My apologies for this delay. between DHL and customs they have buggered things up so bad.
Steyr has been asked directly for ITAC permits etc. Who in their right mind asks the manufacturer for these?

I will keep you all updated.

Just got an email from DHL.
I have to go to the SAPS at O.R.Tambo to explain what an regulator is for on an air rifle, and that an air rifle bolt is for an air rifle so no licence is needed.

Then maybe they will give me some permit allowing the goods to be allowed into the country.

I spent two hours at O.R.Tambo police yesterday trying to find out what permit is needed. The police like I am scratching their heads as no permit is needed for air rifles or parts.
I then spent an hour at DHL trying to find out what the issue is. It looks like customs does not know the difference between "AIR Rifle" and "Rifle", its only one word "AIR" but air is nothing so the difference is nothing therefore a "rifle" permit is needed.

DHL is now going to write a letter to customs trying to explain this "AIR" part.

    I feel like

Even with these codes customs can see the "AIR" part or does not want to understand that licenses are not needed.

It is quite simple, really. No explanation is needed, or wanted even.

There are a few government forms( with many duplicates) you might need to submit with this application, before ANYTHING gets released.
These are forms number r100 and r200.

You see, its not about finding someone who knows whats going on, because they all know this VERY well. Its about finding that person who is willing to do their job, without without having to be bribed....

I hope you find that person.

DHL has just told me that the shipment has been cleared and that they are waiting for the release of the physical shipment.
Delivery to me should be latest tomorrow.

    Sorry for all the delays.
