Just for interest sake. How much do you pay for a scuba cylinder refill?
I've just been charged R 75 for 6 litre 300 bar. Is that reasonable?

Sounds a bit steep. In JHB we pay around R40. Make sure you're paying for a "top up" and not a "fill" - airgunners don't empty tanks, at worst there will still be 150bar in a tank that we top up.

I pay R50 but I'm in the sticks. I think R75 is a bit steep for a top-up but still worth every cent for the pleasure we get from our sport

If you are really nice to the guy he'll open shop on a Sunday and top up 3 cylinders for a beer.

    Ok.

lets just get things straight here.

You did not mention another shop. By not mentioning another shop your comments reflect the shop in question. so you are the one who needs a klap.
Also you say the guy implying that you know him and that he is the same guy as the OP's post

Both Keith and Mark mentioned that they were in different places, but not you.

I reckon that's a bit steep. Was this at a dive shop or a paintball shop?
At Paintball shop here in Centurion it's R40. But that's for my 232bar cylinder. Not 300bar. Maybe try making a deal with this guy or something.

Mark, Errol and Keith, I guess you guys just aren't nice people. Or prefer the beer for yourself. I wonder what has to be done to be THAT nice???

Divetec in Randburg only charged me R25 for a top up. They filled my 230 bar and 300 bar silinder for only R50.

Needless to say I was pleasantly surprised. They even brought me Coffee because I had to wait 30 minutes because some guy brought a bakkie full of bottles to fill.

Here at Prestige Dive Shop in Boksburg a top up costs me R80 and a fill up R100. That is for my 10L 300 bar tank and it is filled to 320 bar. The place Urban Dive on Beyers Naude costs R50 for a top up. This is now my top up Dive Shop as it is on my way to the Beer stop on a Thursday.

Pensioners discount Mike? I get charged R150 for a fill - and I was told anything below 180 bar on my 6L 300 bar is a fill, above its a top up. A top up I get charged R100.
Guess you on good terms with Rowena and Weston?

    Hi,
In Vereeniging/Meyerton is AquaMania, charge R55 for a 300 Bar big cylinder, don't know the exact volume, but it is one of those old big steel cylinders.
They unintendedly filled it to only 200 bar, but will top up 4 free and give me a beer.
