Regards to first pic... Something we often see Down here.

Second pic, if your scope is cranked up to 80mag you'll take forever to find the target, thus a 4x scope to find target and then look through the March being semi on target.

    Not unusual at all.
When we shoot BR at 25m flags often indicate wind from different directions.
    Making reading it quite interestingly

Not a funny wind at all. Wind is blowing from L to R. Those sneaky POMS put starch on the reset strings to confuse people.
    Seems it works

    Cool,
What if one would mount a laser pointer similar to one used on pistols to find the target, is that against FT rules?

Wind is a funny thing my friend, just go to Wetton in CT . lol

2nd photo shows scope above another scope + air temp and humidity..... I'm not sure about FT rules, but I Think it's a bit unnecessary & adding extra weight to your rifle.

Not against FT rules but would not work. The power of the laser would have to be very high to see it on a white face plate in direct sun.

    Errol,

I read this that it would not be 'legal' , although agree that it would be more impractical that useful.

Rather just attach a pointer to the front of your scope that your 'non-scope' eye can use to align with the target. Wyan Schoonwinkel uses one to good effect

its not a laser range finder. its a grey area, sorry bright red. At worlds it would be a big problem because its not listed as an accessory

Looking at that picture again, although a bit fuzzy closest to the camera, does show a bit of an 'S' bend in the reset cord and the flag at the back indicating another channel at the rear. That is what makes FT such a challenging and interesting (frustrating at times) sport.

    SHEESH,

With a rifle set up like this I bet that the shooter cries like a baby and gnashes his teeth when he misses the target.

Talk about needing crutches to enable accurate shooting.

Ok , Ok , I know that FT is serious business.

    Cheers
