Esteemed Fellow Airgunners
I am considering a Kral Puncher Auto. I already have an Air Arms S400, which is reliable and accurate to the nth degree, and I am in the market for something in 5.5 with a bit of a novelty factor that won't cost an arm and a leg.
From what I have read so far the Kral's are good value for money, and once tuned by one of the well known names on the forum (Kevin jumps to mind), they are as accurate as guns 2-3 times their price. I considered the Puncher Breaker but, like most bull pups, they are not lefty friendly (my twin boys shoot with me and one is a south-paw).
I accept that it will not be top notch accurate out of the box. There is a turkish review on Youtube that shows ghastly groups, but the gentleman who is doing the shooting does not inspire enough confidence that I contribute all of the inaccuracy to the rifle: Kral Puncher Auto 5.5 mm Yarı Otomatik PCP İncelemesi - YouTube
My question is this: when it comes to tuning the semi auto rifle to be accurate, are there any major factors to consider beyond what is normally done?
(Keep in mind I am in the market for a budget air rifle, 5.5, powerful, with a design that does not make it too difficult for a left-handed person.)
