Default Help! Crosman 1377 steel breech installation

Hi folks, anyone clued up on this install

    Everything works well. .
Except, the rear sight screw, I have the shorter screw but for the life of me I can't get the damn thing to bite, and I can't see where the original, or the new one actually threads into.

Below the breech is a tube plug (blue arrow) that acts as a spring retainer for the hammer spring. Removing the top bolt can allow this plug to move rearwards under spring pressure. Pushing it in would align the bolt hole again.

Thanks so much, it seems that hammer screw had backed out when removing the rear sight, tightened it up and the sight screw fits.
