Default Gecado / Diana Model-50 restoration

I was given a Gecado mod 50 its in a sorry state the cocking lever is broken thats the main problem

What I wish to know is, is it worthwhile restoring it,or should I throw it away?

Thanks Avi.. Would love to restore a rifle that is worth while restoring. So if you can find it in your heart to give it up for adoption I will be willing to take care of her.

Mod 50? That's the old under lever Gecado with the square type cocking lever and the awesome 2 stage trigger. That was my first real airgun almost 28 years ago (D@mn! I feel old when I say it like that). Man, that was one seriously sweet shooter.

I still have mine and I literally still love it to bits ( In pieces currently, due to some busted/missing internals). Hopefully one day I can restore her too, as they are definitely worth it.

They sure are sweet guns. Only thing I didn't like was that tap loading system.

Sold one about a year ago to a bloke here in PMB, but he still hasn't payed me. Went round to extract payment with the help of baseball bats but came away with two 38 special (I think) bullet holes through my bakkie. Didn't count on his ten cuzbros being at his house.

You right, that trigger was pretty good.

my friend owns a funeral home in pmb, so we can always get rid of the evidence, if required.

There are still parts available for most of the Gecado range. I have just received spring and piston seal for a model 50 which I am restoring for a friend!
