    Default Please help with info BSF Model S70

    Hi guys,

    I have recently acquired a rifle from a guy at work. He told me it was a Gecado 35 which I love dearly as I had one years ago but it was stolen from me. Upon receiving the rifle I immediately saw it is not a Gecado 35. Can anyone please help.with any information on a BSFmod S70. I know it is german like the Gecado but I don't know anything about BSF rifles. Is this a sought after rifle? This one has had a rather rough life but I wouldn't mind fixing it up if it's a decent buy.

    Thanks in advance if anyone can help.

    Gecado = Diana

    BSF = BSF until late 80's. When they closed down Weihrauch bought the tools and parts.

    Pelletier wrote a good article about the S70:

    Is there a market for this rifle? Do people go out specifically looking for This mod?

    Yes there is a market for it. On this site there are always collectors looking for a certain model. Take some pictures and post them in the Vintage section. You will soon enough know who is looking for that type and model for their collection.

    Yes, They are a great rifle. It is the R9's Grandfather. Rebuild it with the same components as the BSF 55, and the S60. Chambers has the parts as well as ARH. By the spring from ARH for the BSF 55. Get the synthetic piston seal adapter 26mm from Vortec.

    I have a BSF S60 in good original condition. These are great ito build quality and so accuracy goes it performs on par with any top brand modern rifle of same class.
    If nothing on that S70 is broken or missing, it should be a good project for restoration and well worth it.
