    Default HW100 Conversion

I bought the HW100 S in 5.5 cal last year.
Great rifle, more than accurate enough for my purposes, but can be a trifle powerful, pushing an 18.13 gr pellet at almost 850 fps (over 28 ft/lb).
Can I get a second barrel in 4.5 mm for use where I don't need that much power (and to prevent over-penetration)?
What does such a conversion entail - does one merely screw the other barrel in?

AFAICR, it's not worth the effort, because of having to change probes, mags and other stuff.

Changing the probe will entail stripping the cocking system down, and that's a mission, esp. if you don't know how everything works.

It would maybe easier, softer and shorter hammer spring and a ragulator then you can tune to desire speed

The rifle is already regulated. Fiddling with the HW regulator is also not advised unless you have the skills and a pressure gauge.

NB... If you decide to adjust the hammer spring tension, MAKE SURE YOU LOOSEN THE GRUB SCREW! Every single HW100 I have opened up has had a damaged hammer thread. Do LOTS of research on stripping BEFORE you even take it out of the stock.

    Hello Big G,

you can easily convert your HW100 0.22 cal to 0.177ca.
You need to buy following stuffs,
    1. Barrel 4.5mm ( same barrel type, FSB or Silence type)
    2. 4.5mm breach module
    3.Magazine
    4.Pellet probe

then you need to reduce your regulator pressure to 90bar ( approx) and adjust your hammer spring tension so that you can get 22fpe energy for .177 cal.
Before you decided to buy all the above stuffs think twice..because above spares cost will be around 25% of the new PCP cost.

    All the best.

Where do I get pricing on the above? Thinking of converting my 0.177 to 5.5mm

Rather convert it to a 5mm that's way more accurate than the 5,5 mmm HW 100

Thanks, maybe I should try the JSB Exact Monster first and see if they can fly at +-850 fps

Your .177 should be a laser with the 10.3gr JSB Exact Heavy if its set to factory specs. The lighter pellets go a bit fast

Crank it up to about 19 foot pounds then use those new redesign monsters - most acurate pellet I have used in my 4,5 mm HW 100 so far but you have to turn up the power
