Default Random idea -> Built it ->Tested -> Actually love it

So.....being booked off after my Op I have reached the point of bored where you get these retarded random ideas and last night I got to that point.
I eventually thought of one and I thought it might be so cool if it works properly.
So this morning at 6am started putting it together and finished the build at around 12... Still need to do little more welding and bending nice and straight and grinding and painting and all the little bits and pieces but gave it a test to see if it works before I go do all that and ends up not working.
So here is a DIY Rifle stand/Maintenance stand/Shooting stand and actually works well for sighting aswell.. I tried it and works absolutely awesome. works much better than it looks at the moment LOL... Check out some pics..
Once Ive done the last bits and pieces then it will look much better and straighter and padding on the holders.
If someone wants one...Get a car jack and bring it...I will make it for you with pleasure so I can keep myself busy while I am off. I have steel at home which I will donate LOL
If you have an idea to add on please feel free to give suggestions

I did the same with el cheapo Checkers brand jack, works great. Custom camo paintjob nogal. Mine is 'free standing' i.e. no frame attached to fit stock. That way I can use it for pistol to long rifle. If you make your frame back side thingamabob dinges slidable you will have it fit rifles of various configurations and more user friendly.
BTW getting up at 6 am in the dead of winter to play outside after an op? You airgun nuts are a strange lot...

Making the frame adjustable for different rifle lengths and configurations will be a nice addition, as DSF mentioned. It does look rough, but should clean up nicely once the welds have been sanded/ground down and it has received a lick of paint.

I picked one up off a guy on guntree with an adjustable base - works like a charm. And they really do transform with some sanding and paint
