Default M6 Fine Pitch Thread Machine screws

Does anyone know where I can find M6 fine pitch thread machine screws or bolts in Cape Town? I have phoned 11 different hardware stores and nuts and bolts places and they only stock M7 fine pitch and bigger. My filling station took a knock and the pressure release valve bolt snapped in half and fell away.

As reference these are the places I phoned:
    Builders Express
    Builders Warehouse
    Penny Pinchers/Buco
    Bolt Fast
    Bolt It
    Top fast
    Bolt and Nut Center
    Bolt and Nut World
    Mr Bolt and Nut

I phoned two more but I can't remember their names.

Unfortunately I do not have the original bolt anymore but I can make any type of screw or bolt work as along as the thread is correct. So it can be Allen key, cheese head, slotted, hexagon or any other variant.

It seems difficult to get M6 with fine pitch. Going to see it I can get an imperial equivalent with fine pitch. I havnt given up yet. If you dont manage to get a screw I suggest you drill hole size one size bigger and re tap the threads witb a standard size. Will keep in touch

Have you tried your local hobby/radio control/model shop?
They keep unusual stuff like that. M6 Fine has a 0.75mm thread pitch.
Otherwise drill the hole out and retap to M7Fine if you can get those

It looks like you need 1/4" UNF bolts. That is the imperial equivalent to M6. W only make a standard M6 by 1 pitch and I vould only find what you need in 19mm length. Im happy to send what I have or you can ask your local guys for 1/4". Let me know

i tried a 1/4 UNF, not fine enough
1/4" is correct but thread gauge measures 30 TPI or 32 TPI, to little thread left on original bolt to be 100% sure

    Cheers

Check with President Bolt and Tool in JHB.
By far and away the most comprehensive stock I've ever encountered.
If they don't deliver let me know & I'll pick them up for you and send.

I have tried my local hobby shop. They do stock fine thread but only up to M4.
