    Default HW100S leaking

My relatively new HW100s blew a gasket while in the veld recently.Air started gushing out of the magazine area and emptied the cylinder.Local gunshop is ok but not into airgun repairs-supplier in CT of no assistance.Does this sound like a simple fix or do I need to send it to a specialist.if so who? Also is this a common problem?.-I am in EL.
    Thanks.

Sounds like the main valve, I ask 250 for service excluding parts. Courier 200.
    Good luck

There are diagrams of the valve arrangements on the web with links somewhere on this site.
All the seals are o-rings that can be relatively easily sourced except the teflon o-ring that seals the 'hammer port'. If you are diy savvy and read up carefully beforehand you could sort it yourself but if you're not comfortable with that risk then send it in.

Very difficult to diagnose the specific problem from behind of the keyboard, you will have to strip and have a look, or send to somebody to sort it out for you.
I have worked on HW100 before.

What was your cylinder pressure when the air dump began?

Operating pressure or did you shoot past it? If the air cylinder is almost empty the pressure is not enough to close the valve, and you will dump air.
If you fill from a dive cylinder, it will close up. But from a pump you will not build pressure quick enough to close the valve.

Note that I am not familiar with the internal workings of a HW100, but most pcp's react in this way.

Thanks for the responses. The cylinder pressure was a touch under 200 bar.Never gone below the min.I will check the main o-ring etc if no obvious issues will send away.Thanks.
