Does anybody use this rifle??
Hi Mcwidowmaker, I recently bought a FX Crown and must say I Am very happy. I am not at all a specialist on air rifles but do own several centre and rim fire rifles. It is amazing the accuracy and performance you can get out of the new generation air rifles. I am not loyal to any brand and considered Daystate and FX. In the end I opted for the FX, as the red wolf was quite a bit more expensive. I could not justify the higher price this time as I usually go for the more expensive option in life. I am sure this airgun will tick all the boxes and is very accurate. Obviously, there are cheaper and more expensive airguns that can also achieve this. The Crown is infinitely adjustable, and I must say its nice to be able to play around with the settings and to finetune. This enabled me to shoot different types of ammo (as well as grain) by only dialling the power setting (obviously one need to determine this initially). Furthermore, I can shoot quite a number of shots (200 400+) depending on the power setting which is also a big advantage for me. The airgun comes standard with an 18 shot (5.5mm) mag capacity which is also a plus for me.
My suggestion is to get yourself a good quality airgun (listen to your heart). Much more important is to rather shoot more often and as many shots as possible. This will influence accuracy much more in the end (if that is your objective). One thing I can say you will not be disappointed in the Crown.
I had my first shot last week with this rifle. (after long wait of FX scope mount and scope..... )
I'm a new shooter, cant really comment on the accuracy of the rifle but it is very accurate for me and shot count is amazing as well,
with hammer setting 3, I've shot 7 mags (126) and cylinder pressure was about halfway.
very happy with it
