Just sold one of my muzzleloaders think its time for a new toy;whats are your thougths out there. My reasoning is i already have hw90 in .20 for all my hunting needs,so think the 30s will complement my collection nicely only read great things about the gun but any other advise is always welcome.

I see the HW30s is selling for R3000 on Farmers website.
Importer is selling a FX PCP for R4000.

Try to squeeze your wallet a bit more.

I bet you will love the PCP.

You cant compare apples with pears...

    Farmer,
I find it very difficult to believe that a HW30 can out perform a FX PCP....

To get back to the point.

Which one is a better buy?

    HW30s- for R3000 or
    FX- for R4000

FX is R4000 plus tank plus refill adapter

    You cannot really compare them...the HW30 is only a 6 ft\lbs rifle

Yes exactly, you cant compare them!

    Peter Robinson,

a word of advice, dont rush to buy a rifle. The stuff is damn expensive and proper research needs to be done before spending all the money.

Get the right tool for the job.

If you dream of owning a pcp and you have X amount to spend, buy the FX and maybe next month the adaptor and the following month a second hand cylinder.

It will take a bit longer this way, but at the end of the day I bet you will be more satisfied with a pcp than a 6fpe springer.
