My kitchen cutting board is next on my "to-do" list and wanted some input/advise on which oils/varnish etc. I can use on it once I've finished sanding down it?
Any suggestions welcome.
Best IMO, on "fresh" wood would be a mixture of beeswax and mineral oil.
A good friend of mine has been making wooden cutting boards for ages, and is only using this combo, and swears by it.
I seem to remember, though, it being a bit difficult to get the mineral oil in small quantities, at decent prices...
