That is a serious amount of D.R.W. rifles - I don't think I have seen one rifle so well represented in an event before either in the final standings or even just in the numbers entered into the event..

The secondhand market in the "good old USA" is probably flooded with FX rifles.

This is a really interesting article.

The conspiracist in me can't help but think this is the best marketing plan.

Host and have representation of a premium airgun brand in a major competition through sponsorship. Publish the result with resounding wins on the said brand and any hot-blooded airgun nut will rush out and beg to have their beeg monies taken to get their grubby paws on one of these magical lead wands.

Do this for 3 consecutive years and the said nut will now have gone through 3 different rifles, why sell one if you can make them buy all 3.....

Now after seeing through all these sales tricks.....where can I get hold of one of these Rooi Hond
    ??

The cynic in me said it was a PR exercise- take a whole lot of excellent shots, give them a good gun and Bobs your Uncle, advertising.
Till I watched the videos on YouTube, I may not understand the exact format, but just looking down the shooting line, I didn't see a line of Red Wolves, I saw a lot of Impacts, some Brococks and others. So not flooded as far as I could see. Would be interesting to hear from people that understand better.

So I was there and I competed in almost all of the events. Ask away on how things are done there
I’ll answer all questions as best I can

Great to have inside/on site info.
I am a noob so please tell me if the question is off-sides.
Basically I would like to understand that if one took the same group of excellent shots on the day and gave them another high end gun, would the board look similar or is the Red Wolf that much better?

Well as you know with any sport, it is the combination of equipment AND shooters ability to achieve those results. There were many other good shooters on the line that were shooting with other guns that didn't perform that well.

Not only is the Red Wolf good, But it is the preferred gun by all those top guys. That says more that just the ability of the gun. Even if someone is sponsored, that is besides the point, because no one will shoot with a gun that they don't think is good.

In my personal opinion, Yes. The Red Wolf .22 HP is really THAT good! Right now I would not change that gun for any other high power gun in the world.

Can you give the barrel specifications...
As far as I know its a LW polygonal with 16 twist. Is it choked?
Standard polygonal LW is 17.7 twist.
