    Default Gecado Model-75 Help

    Hiu guys,

I have recently received a Gecado Model-75, it is in a brilliant condition however she is not shooting at the moment. Who will be the best person to take it to for a service? I looked at the expanded charts and it looks nice and complicated on the inside.

On other topic, what will they be worth these days, I think this one was used by someone in the SA team in 1982.

    Kind regards
    Marc

I had a look now and saw mine is actually a 65 not 75, but it works on the same recoilles system. Most amazing rifle, you will swear you are shooting a pcp. Very accurate. Nothing currently on the market can compare with it.

It would cost damn near Steyr money to produce a Model-75 to the original standards today.

What do you guys think the problem could be? it cocks and shoots perfectly, the pellet just doesn't move. Must be a seal?

Isnt it very much the same as a Diana 56th Target Hunter?

    No, not even close.

The 75 uses the Giss twin piston system, the 56 is a sledge system.

The engineering quality of the 75 knocks the current Diana's into the bin.

Pity the seal material on these old Giss guns degrades after about 20 years to the consistency of cottage cheese.

Are you aware if the newer plastic seals that Diana use are compatible with the 75?

Thanks for all the info guys!

I do not know if they are compatible, but you can obtain the correct type of seal for the 75: TW Chambers - https://www.gunspares.co.uk/shopdisp...=24404&Search=

Item code PW043 and the compensating washer for the dummy piston PW038.
