    Default HÄMMERLI AR20-FT regulators

Hi all my apologies if this is in the wrong place
    and the same question
I have been through other posts but they are quite old which is a bit of a concern
I need a new regulator for my AR20-FT and hammer spring
To cut a story short some one placed a piece of packing behind the hammer spring and a washer where the reg fits and increased the power to 14ftlds which is illegal in the uk unless you have a FAC so I removed them and now it at about 9 ftlbs
so I think now the reg is damaged
or if anyone knows how to repair would be very much appreciated

I have just got my AR20-FT, you did not mention what pellets and weights you are using.
    Chrony results are:
    8.44gr JSB 9.5ft/lbs ave speed 715.4 fps
    10.34gr JSB 10ft/lb ave speed 662.36 fps

Either mine has the same problem, or it is the actual power output
    Regards
    J

That adjustment screw makes seemingly quite a big difference in velocity i.e. 30-40 fps. Otherwise also a single washer behind the hammer spring.

Thanks for the response guys I have been using
AA Diablo 8.4 gr and at the star of the day I was getting
between 8.8 ftlb and 9.4 had the reg apart made sure all the shims were correct and got it up to 10.5 so I’m gonna leave it there for now and hope I can get a new reg
had a look at the power adjustment a previous owner must have tried to have a go with it and made a right pigs ear of it so can’t go there unless a drill it out
    but I don’t know what’s behind it
Thanks for the tip lourness that’s what I have been doing today but I have used feeler gauges and used them to shim the hammer spring and that’s worked
so after all that had a little plink and very happy so far but the gun is far better than I am so i don’t know if it’s me or the gun

As described in the other thread you can adjust power quite easily, sounds like somebody just didn't know the adjuster was there and tried to up the power with the shim on the hammer spring, cant see any point to shimming the reg unless they have added extra bellville washers? the regs are pretty robust and easily rebuilt...there are two versions a 6ftlbs and a 12ftlbs but its just down to the bellville washer arrangement, there should also be some pics on here somewhere.
