    Default TX200-HC Carbine.

A month or so ago I got my 3rd TX200 which is my second HC model for a good price. I did not know what I should do with it because having 2 of the same rifles makes no sense.

So I left it lying around before deciding I want to chop it.

The MK3 HC is already shorter than the Full lenght MK3 so i did not want to go too short as cocking would become too hard..

I decided I want to chop it buy 40mm but leaving the barrel entirely alone so only chopping the shroud. On a factory HC the shroud is just over 73mm longer than the barrel.

I did not take photos of the whole process.

    My standard HC

    My chopped HC

    The verdict:

It does cock much harder than a HC by comparison but not too hard that it cant be cocked. Keep in mind I dont run OEM internals in any of my TX200s and all of them do cock a little harder than std form.

The whole idea for this rifle is to become a full on FT springer with the posibility to screw in any sort of Silencer or airstripper without being too long..

You should take over where Vince left off. There is a desperate need for a springer mechanic in our market.

You most certainly have the passion for them!

    Keep it up!

I agree. He definitely has a knack, and passion, for springers and he always has some new idea to make this or that better. The only problem I foresee is that he might not want to touch anything other than a TX.
