First off I wouldn't classify what I have as a 'vast' collection, I know of full on collectors who have way more than my modest selection.
In terms of favourites, that I would have to say is harder to define, simply because for the most part the airguns I have acquired are ones that I enjoy the ownership and use of, so it is difficult to pin down any one as an absolute favourite, they all have their character and are a pleasure to use.
On those occasions I have bought something and it turns out to not live up to expectation, it generally does not hang around long.
A recent example of this was I acquired a BSA Airsporter RB2, the last variant of the Airsporter, that featured the rotary breech of the Superstar instead of the loading tap - in theory this should be a lovely rifle to shoot as well as being stylish.
In reality it was a total dog to shoot and not special accuracy wise, so it got shifted on sharpish.
Just before Christmas I was browsing ebay and happened across a nice second hand Custom Stocks CS700 thumbhole stock to fit an HW95. This was an example with 'extras' of capped grip, skip line checkering and Wegu adjustable butt pad. As the price was reasonable I bought it and fitted it to my formerly beech stocked HW95:
Just to tidy it up further I made some fore-end screw cups out of titanium and added button headed allen screws:
Thought I would add my latest project to the thread. Rifle is a HW97K 5.5 bought from Jav late last year. The aim was to redo the stock in black, but due to circumstances (all within my control), the Beech stock resulted in something quite unique according to me. I also decided to redo the rifle in GunKote silver and adding some gold plated bling to the comp tube and trigger. Anyway... please comment on as you deem fit.
