Default League Shoot at AAC Sunday 27th October 2019

    Hi all

The next League Shoot will take place on Sunday 27th October 2019.

Obviously anyone who would like to try out the sport is more than welcome to attend and shoot, there will be plenty of help and advice on the day.
The format - a challenging but fair 30 target course with perhaps a bit of wind thrown in for good measure.

I have however made some changes to the way we set out the course plus there may be a few "hazards" thrown into the mix ..............

    • Range fees for the day will be R80-00, irrespective of which club you belong to
    • This event is open to everyone, not just club members.

It would be great to have as much help and assistance as possible to set up the course, your assistance as always will be hugely appreciated.

    Course setup: From 08:00

    Sight in: 09h00 to 09h45
    Briefing: 09h45 pm
    Shoot starts: 10h00 sharp

Hope to make it to the shoot. I must dust off the trusty s400 and polish the pellets. I've been away too long!

Hi everyone. It looks like it will rain on Sunday and even if it does the shoot will go ahead as planned. We can set the shooting pegs under the veranda, as we have done in the past when it rains, so you will have cover while shooting the course. See you all there.

Thank you for a wonderful shoot.

The weather was stormy and everyone struggled.
Except for Jan (50/60). Seems like he did not notice the 40 km/h wind. Well done!
Also to Brett - With a springer score of 45/60. That was very impressive. Welcome back my friend.

The highlight of the day was the shootout between Richard and Gert. A real nail biter! Impressive shooting in such bad conditions. Well done to the two of you. Respect!

Thank you to everyone who came to help with the setting up and breaking down. It was done in record time. It was done as a plan-B, as the weather ambushed the original plans towards the course layout. Our helmsman improvised to save us from the rain.

I suffered big time, made stupid mistakes, but really enjoyed the shoot. Thank you everyone.

Thanks to all of you that gave up on watching the rugby and attended the shoot today.
Also for bringing along a great attitude and climbing in to get the course set up quickly.
It turned out to be quite an experience, the wind certainly played a role in lowering the average scores somewhat ............

Many thanks to Carlo and Jaco for offering prizes for the day and to Riaan for collecting our new medals !!

So despite the difficult conditions, thanks and well done once again to those who persevered.
