An interesting take on this would be an ELIMINATION competition, where it works like an athletics event (long jump, high jump, shotput, javelin and the like).

You set benchmarks. Start at 80m and have, say 5 shots at a target. A hit qualifies you for the next round at 90m, and so forth. 5 misses means elimination at the max distance you achieved.

Now that is a brilliant idea!

Agreed!! I would have LOVED to take part with my 65fpe Daystate Red Wolf in .22!
I’m still not sure what would stop a .177HP Red Wolf that does 30fpe?

    Good Luck to all competing!

    Informasie is skraps.

If you go by the previous competition's format...

No rangefinder needed. At every lane, all the target distances were given...

We were told, 177, 20 and 22 calibers only, 1000fps max.

Different lanes required different positions, eg. Sitting at/behind shooting bench(using X-bags), Crouching/standing and shooting over large 44 gallon drums, Lying prone, using shooting mats, etc.

The previous competition, I must add, was very "informal"...

That said, the next one may be very different...

I have asked the organizer for more info and he said he will forward me full details as soon as all is finalized. Will share when I get the formal reply.

So itching to fit a better scope on my Priester in the meanwhile though..
