    Default BSF S54

I've had this BSF S54 for a few years now and it is in a fair to good condition. Shoots rather well, but I must still chrony it.

Problem is that its front sight is damaged. The thin edges of the grooves for the sight ring are mangled and cracked/torn. No chance of repair.

Recently I found an old barrel/tube/cocking arm as spares from an online seller. These parts are in a horrible condition. Nothing is usable except the piston and the......... SIGHTS! Yay

But, after receiving the parts and wanting to tackle the "front sight swap" job this past weekend I found the following:

Top one is mine, bottom one is the spare.

I didn't realize that there were differences, obviously, between year models

Can any of you tell me how to get those front sights off those 2 barrels?
And, if they are swappable at all?

Any advice and instructions will be welcome. Thx

Interesting. My model is the bottom one. If I am not mistaking those parts are 'sweated' on so mild application of heat will have the parts come lose, however how to reverse the process I am clueless.

My idea to get it back on would be Pratley Steel epoxoxy, LOL
