    Default Foam for rifle cases

I have a few rifle cases that need foam, I want to cut the gun shape out so that it does not slide round in that egg carton type stuff. I would assume one would have to buy a whole sheet of the stuff, is there anyone that has done this and have some foam left over? I would gladly buy it over.

It would be more convenient to have the foam cut to size (height, width and breadth) for you by a foam supply company. Then you don't waste anything.

I am in Magaliesburg, bad time of the year now, I tried calling Sondor but they were not answering earlier in the week, John Moffat Prolock only sells full sheets. Where can I try in the new year? To get cut to size pieces would be first prize, I have an electric knife to do the cut-out, cuts foam very cleanly.

There is a fabric company in roodepoort that has the right density foam, and they are cheap...

Now to try out my electric knife to do the cut-outs. Wish I could mount it upright and use it like a scrollsaw....

    A scrollsaw would work.

Also, Bosch sells 6 inch blades for foam that fit a T jigsaw that work exceptionally well.

I want to thank Blud for putting me onto Fabric Link in Florida (in the building that used to be OK Bazaars) They had exactly what I wanted and cut the pieces while I waited.
They are also super cheap, R150 for foam for 3 riflecases.
I did not think it through properly and ended up with 50mm thick foam, I will have to go back and get 2 sheets of 25 or 30mm as the 50mm cut-out is too deep. Live and learn, at least it is not going to break the bank!

Hi, if you give the sizes of the sponge you want, John Moffat Prolock will cut for you. The material you are looking for in JMPX30.
