    Default PRICE OF PELLETS...

After my research with a number of different brands and interesting point came to light.

Where do you get your ammo, and for what price?

    Sharp Shooter in Sandton City:
    PowaPell @ R54/500
    Air Arms @ R127/500
    H&N @ R88/500

    Kreature at Northgate:
    Arlaz Shark @ R45/250
    GAMO TS-10 @ R29/200

    Yale Security Cresta:
    Umarex domes @ R70/500
    PowaPell @ R70/500
    Premier Super Point @ R75/500

Add to the list please, as R127/500 AA's seems steep?

The excuse is that the lead prices have gone through the roof because China is making too much car batteries. I see what some importers are invoiced from over seas for a lot of goods, including some rifles and pellets. It is not always the importers/distributors that make the money it is the factories. The guys in the UK also complain about the prices going up daily.
Sharp Shooters and Twinbore (FX) are the most expensive shops I have come across. The rubbish they sell at Sharp Shooters at prices as above is astonishing

I have no problem paying a lot for good pellets.
I'll rather R120 for a tin of pellets and I can hit what I aim at with 4/5 pellets, than pay half the amount and only hit with 1/5 pellets.

    Andries,
Hennie (Sniper) used Daystate before and he told me that they don't wan to supply us any more.
    Farmer,
We are back at the old argument. How expensive should pellets be, how much is fair to mark up? Some guys are going over board with rubbish like Arlaz etc. and that gets me fuming. They catch the uninformed and milk them dry.

    Spyker,
Yes they probably are, but it is in another tin. ha ha ha. Apparently it has to do with the sorting and small but (in)significant differences in the shape of the head etc. that makes the difference.

Hey, you've missed Yale Security at Forways Mall. Don't know about the pellets but they are selling a single small paper target for R6.50, while Sandton Sharp Edge sell them for 50cents!
