Whats the story with the new Gamo's
Are the springs good and do they last or should I be looking for a PCP type air rifle. The new one with the ambidextrous stock LOOKS very nice.
But Seriously though, they are very different to PCP - my Gamo 1000 had quite a twang. I replaced the trigger with GRT III and it was pretty accurate for a jumpy springer. If you want something without the huge recoil, look at a TX200 or Weihrauch HW77, 97 or even 90 (Gas ram).
I sold mine after 1000 shots and I think it was just settling down! I've "heard" that the springs can break after around 2000 shots, but as you can see from other posts, this is not always the case. Anyhow it's a good excuse to get a v-mach or maccari kit
Watch out for those deer - some just don't play the game!
