Default CHANGE OF VENUE

Due to possible rain this coming Saturday we have decided to change the venue in advance instead of changing it at the last minute.

The new venue is Stellenbosch Shooting range. The range will provide some cover from rain. The first post (and website) has been updated with the venue change and map.

Dis die gees Pieter
There is some cover so I'm sure we can make a plan. Even if we have to wait for gaps in the rain to shoot a few targets at a time...

Just a word of thanks to everyone who turned up for the shoot. It was actually not so bad in the end. The weather only turned on us at the end of the shoot and turned very bad in the afternoon when the shoot was over already. We even had sun at times.

CAR TEAM - You guys are awesome !!! It is a priviledge to be part of such a superb comittee. I think we set a new rekord this morning. 30 minutes for setting up 30 targets and the sight-in range. Especially thanks you to Philip who stood in for Arnold.

It was indeed. I think we were all so surprised that we almost did not know what to do with the extra time...almost...

It took us longer to get MickyD's breakfast as coffee. Damn their service in Stellenbosch sucks!!

Anyway, thanks for a great day guys and meeting all the new people like Wayne and Johan. Can't recall all the names now but you know who you are

I have not looked at the final results yet but this is what I can remember:

We had another shoot out for first place again between Marius and Deon, with Marius taking the honours for FT open. They scored 24/30

FT, Springer. Marius vd Berg and Philip had to fight it out for 2nd and 3rd. Marius winning the bout with 13/30. Myself taking first with 18

HFT senior - Ferdi took the honours.

I'll try to have all the scores uploaded later tonight as soon as I can connect to my hosting server.

And to round the day off the Boks won I'm still amazed about that...

To the rest of my team, thanks for a great setup and all your hard work!
Have a great weekend.

Jacques

It was cold wet and misrable... Well not that bad. I still enjoyed myself and I'm getting used to the new seating position. Unfortunately the first few lanes were my worst but towards the end I got the hang of it. I Managed to get one of the long shots in lane 9 and two long ones in lane 10 with the wind becomming a factor to contend with.

All in all I had a lot of fun. Thanks to the CAR team that setup the course!!!
