I own an old Gecado Model 25. My bb gun is more powerful. Where can I get spare parts to get it shooting better?

    Danie in craddock.

He stocks a lot of spring and seal kits for the older guns, very reasonably priced too.

Any worthwhile gun shop will be able to get you spares. I own a Gecado 27 and had recently (less than a year ago) replaced the spring and seals for the first time in 20 years and after about 40 000 shots.

    What area are you from?

If you are in the Cape Town Area, Guns and Bows, Speak to Mark. I have taken 2 Gecado's to him and he does great job. Quick as well. About a week turnaround time.

    Hi - new around here.
I am also looking for service spares for my 50 year old Gecado No 25.
Maybe even converting it to nylon washers. etc.
Can someone assist me - Danie of Cradock has passed away 3 years ago.
Note: I stay outside the RSA but can get spares from anywhere.

The Gecado brand was actually made in Germany by Meyer & Grammelspather. They were sold over the world under different names, Original, Diana, Gecado, But all the different modles where the same, just sold under a different name by a different distribution company. The branding "Diana" has now been absorbed by the company and is now Diana Meyer & Grammelspacher GmbH & Co. KG. The distribution company that distributed the Gecado branded rifles was run by CEO Geoffery Carl Donnahiem, you can now see where the name "Gecado" came from Back in the day.

For what it's worth, other German makers did similar things in those days--early Weihrauchs were sold under the "Heym" and "Burgo" names, and BSF also used the "Burgo," "Wischo," and "Bavaria" trademarks. "Burgo" was the trademark of the big German sporting goods house Hugo Burgsmuller and Sons, so this was analogous to M&G's arrangements with RWS or Beeman.

Anyways, just a bit of history there.

    Cheers....
