    Default CZ200T Field Target conversion

    hi all,

just wondering if it's possible to up rate the power of CZ (not AA) 200T to just below 12 ftlbs for FT use?

if so, what do i need to get/do? or are the internals...ie hamerspring/transferport........etc specifications the same as S200? ie. the adjustment of the 2 screw will do?

    thanks

I have heard of someone with the same rifle who very
carefully, drilled a bigger hole to let more air through
each time the rifle was cocked.
However, if this is not done by an airgun smith you will
find your self filling your gun every 40 or so shots.
My air arms 200 S run's at 800fps, this velocity allows me
one shot kills at 50 meters.
I also get about 65 shot's per air fill.

    hi martin,

i though the "side-screw" would have taken care of tuning the transfer port size. maybe he ran out of adjustments??

anywayz what pellet are you using?

    thanks

That model, as far as i know does not have a power
    adjustment facility.
That's why a larger hole would need to be made.
Better yet sell the gun and get the right equipment for the
    job. Re: pellets.
I use Air Arms field,Crosman premier for serious shoot's
and Diablo Boxer when a cheep pellet will do.

Talking of such modifications on here are very dangerous. Rather use mail. Kids and some other idiots will blow themselves up and blame this forum for the "miss information" if they survive.

I spoke to AirArms SA about the topic....
They have upped the speed on a 200T to over a 1000fps, but then only got about 20 shots before having to refill.
Drilling the Transfer Port is really out of the question, they did no drilling or cutting whatsoever ! It has to do with the striker springs that they use.
Be very careful, cutting and drilling will void all warranties and will be irreversable !

The trigger on my CZ200S has some creep and does not break as smooth as I would prefer. At the Northern open, a guy from the cape with a beeeeautiful 200T painted a blue and purple colour indicated that the adjustment grub screw was removed and the end polished round. I would like to know which screw 'cause there are two.

you can polish both...they both act against the sear, one before the other

I polished both the grubscrews and set the trigger to 150g pul, what a joy to shoot during the Wolwehoek challenge. Highest personal BR score, best FT score and a very respectable silhouette score. The trigger is light and breaks crisply. Incidentally - I have fitted the brass bolt and the nasty flip up dendency has disappeared after replacing the breech seal as well. Now I LUV my S200!
