    Default Bayley Knives

Any of you who have watched Ultimate Survival with Bear Grylls will have seen the knife he uses to slice, chop and hack his was through anything and everything... well this is what he uses. Not sure how long each knife keeps its edge but I'm sure he is given a new one each time he goes out.

Question is, at this price, would you actually use it or keep it and stare at it?

Dont know a whole lot about the knife or the Bayley brand to be brutally honest. Im sure its a good knife but not sure that it warrants the huge price tag. I think the fact that it has Bear's name on it drives the cost up considerably..

the same thing happened with that movie with hunted, you could buy that "specialknife for a ridiculos amount. anyway that knife design is very good except the blade is to thick,4mm, and its not flat ground.

That Predator looks like it can do some serious damage.

You should throw a couple of those and a few "six man cans" into the next ANC conference.
It would save us a heap of crap.

a BIG macho knife is unnecessary!! .. in fact is a pain in the butt!! .. the ideal defense knife is small, can be carried concealed. A Spyderco with that hook type blade is perfect - and when attacked stabbing is pointless (PUN intended) ... far better to slash and cut tendons (typically inside the elbow, behind the knee, etc). The defense knife should of course be kept razor sharp - and it is the ONLY time that I like a serrated blade.

There are very few points in the human body where a STAB would cause instant immobilization of the attacker - even a heart stab!!!

Ive seen this knife and am not sure I can warrant the price tag.
I frequent a british blade forum as well and the steel is good and keeps a keen edge but Id much prefer something that you wont feel sorry to abuse for out and about
