There will be a formal FT shoot at the Kraaifontein range on the 16th June [some bizzare public holiday]
Starts at 9am and it WILL be challenging....will keep you all posted but try and get there!! !amazed !amazed
Ye right, with about 6 or 7 shooters to pitch the last time around, and only 3 with guns, it'll take about eeeeh - very long to get anything started ?????
Charging R45 - dunno? , but would suggest you use venue at farm - no entrance fee - open fun day. Get people interested.
Maybe we (dedicated Cape Town airgunnners) could share the cost for a short ad in local newspaper, cause this "events" MUST be made public and not kept a secret. At the moment it's only reaching a few people.
Get the masses involved.
I also think that rather get a place that is free entrance and charge the R20 for taking part or maybe even R10. This way a lot more people will be willing to take part.
I agree with ICE about the add in a local news paper. There is very little representation of Cape Town shooters on the forum.
ICE, this time I will be there with a rifle.
Andre, spoken to a connection of mine who knows a connection etc..... if you get someting to me in the form of a story not a add
i.e "Air rifles is the future" or "Free gun licences"
by tomorrow Thursday 9-6-2005 at 16h00, the connection offered to try and get it into the Tygerberger newspaper which is delivered to each household in the northern suburbs of Cape Town free of charge next Wednesday.
This is very good timing because the shoot is the next day.
A big thank you to Andre [firearm news] for an excellent FT shoot.
Beautiful mountains surrounding us in the distance and an awesome sunny day.
Best part of the shoot were the youngsters , especially the girls shooting peep sighted S200s!!
3 shooters shot a full 30/30 and one of them was a young lady with a 10m s200!
If anyone has some pics please post them or email them to me and I will put them up.
