I agree with Guido... and you can get them for only R2150
If you realy must have a CO2 Pistol, get a Daisy. Half the price of the other ones, More power than most, and the agents have spares, although I have never had a comeback on a single one of them.

I own one, at the price - it's a waste of money if I can be honest with you. Fortunately I found mine in Cash converters for R400 so I don't feel so bad. The double action trigger is terrible, even the s/a is poor and the rear sight on mine is loose and moves around so you're lucky to hit a 5l paint tin at 10m. I think people are suckered by the Walther name into thinking they'r good but don't waste your money!

I heard the trigger pull is slightly longer in double action mode. In single action mode it is reportedly much better - not sure how true that is. Of all the CO2 type air pistols available in SA, I think this is the best of the bunch. The thing I like about the CP99 is the weight. I have looked at the Crosman T4 and some of the Umarex models and the ABS plastic just makes it feel too much like a toy.

Gerry, what do you typically use your CP99 for?

Am I correct in saying that the HW40 is a single shot? If so, that would be the only thing that would sway my decision. I am looking for a repeater. The CP99 has an 8 round magazine and that, I think, is also a bit on the low side.

I have both the CP99 and the Umarex S&W Revolver. Enjoy both of them but esp the revolver - 10 shot. Have a look at the one that comes with the 3 barrel lengths - 4", 6" & 8" - 6" is standard - but not sure if that kit available in South Africa. Downside is that it is quite big - copy of the S&W 586/686.

I wouldn't use the cheapest pellets available in them - that will frustrate you.

It depends on your requirements. Am still looking at a HW40 as well but dont even get to shoot those I have enough.
