    Default Springer rated scope

sooo, anyone here with a springer rated scope(minimum 4-12 - preferably a airking) to swap for a 8-32x44 nighteater? it looks like I may be getting my HW after all

or shall I just shoot the nigheater till she decides not to cooperate anymore. after all some people insist they are springer rated. Anyone know if they carry the same warantee as the airkings? "broken? the swap out sir" type of thing.

The Nighteater should be OK if the HW97K is a 12fpe version...they are quite mild in recoil ,....and I would heartily suggest getting a Maccari kit for it

beware of any other kit besides the V-Mach and Maccari...I have heard some horror stories regarding the OX kits...not sure about the Chambers kit though...perhaps ask on the UK BBS

so would you swap the nighteater for a Leapers

anyways. been trying to get info about it. Seems to get good reviews and no, it is not a OX spring according to one post. People say in the UK Chambers is the way to go. But am concerned as even though it takes the twang away (according to posts) it takes power up to almost 18flbs.

    nice!

chrony the rifle and see what it is doing...you will probably find it slightly twangy like most HWs and you will want to fit the kit...use quite a bit of heavy tar on the OD of the spring if you can

I doubt the kit [if it is an FAC kit] will push it to 18fpe in .177...maybe in 5.5mm it would....I predict it will do around 14-15fpemax

hopefully you got the 12fpe kit which is preferable...

Looks good - what are you going to be using it for?

Hi Curt. This will be my "springer" and some HFT when the mood tackles me. I have always wanted a top3 springer and now I bit the bullet so to speak. Am chuffed! Hopefully she does not disappoint.
