    No, for several reasons.

    1 - it isn't a classic FT rifle - which is what I collect,

2 - too expensive for me,

3 - would be an FAC rifle but very difficult to prove a good reason to own in the UK.

4 - I think they are bloody ugly

They don't appeal much to me either. On some, the engraving is quite artistic though. Hey Dale I have a classic FT rifle for you it's a classic Gamo F..... Trash rifle, yours for 100 Pounds plus shipping.

Err. no I think I'll pass on that thanks

The only Gamo that I own is an MC Supermatch which is actually rather nice:

It is a single stroke pneumatic target rifle, I think they have been out of production for some time now, but a very well made rifle.

Incidentally this one I picked up second hand last year for 100.

Wow, looks like Gamo went downhill from there ...
I think I saw some of the Barnes creations in Pirates of the Carribean.

So we now know that Gamo has the ABILITY to make good guns. Well, actually if they improve the springs and triggers they will have good rifles. They probably do that on purpose, so we can have fun modifying them.

Gamo guns are reasonable rifles that offer a fair 'bang for buck' - however I think a lot of their market is to the US who by virtue of their litigious society tend to demand ultra safe triggers.......

Quite correct. In most states in the USA you can walk into a gun shop (or Wall-Mart) and buy a "long gun", anything from a 17HMR to a 12 gauge shotgun without any proof of anything. You don't even need all your teeth! You can also buy an AK-47 lookalike which will only fire on semi-auto, unless of course you also purchase the conversion kit from the same Wall-Mart that will make it shoot full-auto. And they're worried about the trigger on an airgun? Go figure!
