Any activity that helps maintain a good level of fitness can aid your shooting.
For instance I go surfing, cycling, swimming and sometimes canoeing. I have found that my shooting has improved again since improving my general fitness levels.
Also for FT it is worth practicing with a decent quality spring rifle. The reason for this is that pre-charged guns are very forgiving of sloppy technique, so it is easy to become extremely poor without really noticing. On the other hand any sloppiness with the spring rifle is going to show up instantly. Get proficient with this type of rifle and you will find your shooting with a pcp will be better.
Any kind of aerobic exercise will definitely improve your shooting.
It will lower your heart rate helping you to keep a steadier aim.
It will improve muscle tone...generally helping in a steadier aim...
Also loosing some weight [especially in the belt area] will help especially in the seated FT position where some people must definitely have trouble breathing [yes you know who you are ...hehe]
Avoid caffeinated beverages before a shoot.
Avoid smoking...not just to improve your shooting but also to avoid veld fires...lol
No sex the night before a a big FT event...lots afterwards...[can count as aerobic exercise]
errr....just live clean and stop watching SABC news
