    Default Silica Gel Packets

Got a load of these in my safe...

Should I air them every now and then to dry them out?

Leave em outside in the shade or sun?

    Anyone got a clue?

Are these the things (.)(.) that women put in bras? If so I suggest that we should make it a law that they must be exposed to sunlight, moonlight, fresh air, rain, wind, public places...... well why not at all times - NEVER! NEVER! keep them in a safe. Air them out often.

Mind you, we should reserve the right. I've seen some things that make me wish mini-skirts and "skinner broek" should be banned or rather - they should be banned from wearing them.

Silica Gel (desiccant) "recharging" is accomplished by placing the silica gel packets in. low heat (120 C) on a tray in an oven. For full recharging, 16 hours. The rechargeable types normally change colour.

No I don't think I have the rechargable types, they're just the ones that come in computer and tv packaging boxes. They are still dry (the crystals move around freely), just wondered if it's worth airing them. Was worried that UV light might destroy the absorbtion properties of the packets.

They go pink when wet. See Ogre's instructions.
