Default AGS / LEAPERS scopes one in the same?

    Evening Guys

I was reading up on the AAOC earlier and came across a thread regarding AGS and Leapers scopes. Apparently they are one in the same? Well atleast in the 8-32x56 model, just badged differently?

I own a AGS 3-9 x 40 mildot Sapphire and am just curious to know whether its also a Leapers 3-9 x 40 mildot?

Does anyone else on here use an AGS optic?

    cheers

I had a leapers 3-9x40 on my S400, so the answer is yes. I think that Leapers is also branded as a JSR scope.

I have a AGS 3-9 X 50 Illuminated mildot reticle AO with a 25mm tube on my Logun Dominator. In my opinion a better scope than Leapers. Build quality is superb.

There is no Leapers model that matches the AGS that I have.

Could be. The attention to detail on the AGS seems better than the Leapers. The turrets are solid brass and the Sun shade has a screw in edge to round it off. It also has red/green illumination for the reticle.

My leapers 3-9x40 also has the screw in edge. not using it as it takes some of the light away..

the brass turrets were discontinued on the Leapers 3 years ago

all Leapers Sun shades on the smaller scopes have a screw in ring with a rounded edge to round it off

all Leapers have red\green illu rets

your AGS is an older Leapers
