    Default Weather affecting FPS?

    Hi guys.

I used to race bikes in my earlier years, and we had to jet the carbs to suit the weather. Seeing as cooler and overcast days would present denser (more dense) air than sunny days, we would have to richen the mixture up accordingly.

Do you think the same would apply to springers? I mean a denser air would surely increase fps? The same as shooting at sea level as opposed to JHB?

    Any thoughts on this?

That book any good? Seen it referenced in a few places around the web. If it is then I'll fork out the cash.

The book is not called the Airgunners bible for nothing. It is amazing. Got a signed copy from the author, G Cardew, whom sadly passed away earlier this year.

Can't remember the last time I went into a real life bookshop though. Buy all my books and DVD's online nowadays.

    Okay Kalahari wrote back with:

"Regrettably, the book 'Airgun from Trigger to Target' is currently unavailable and more stock is only expected by 20/12/2004."

Will let you know if I find it nationally somewhere else in the mean time though.

    Re: Kalahari.net

Their stock never came in during December. I emailed them on Sunday asking when the book would be in stock.
They emailed back today (hmm long 24 hours reply that was!) and they just replied, "The book is not in stock."
    Really helpfull that is.

Sod 'em I'll get it from the UK. Really getting fed up with this 3'rd world attitude wherever I shop just lately.

I realise that you guys would like a real copy and not virtual copies, but if you google 'Airgun from Trigger to Target' but use double quotes (&quot and then space and the text 'filetypedf' there is a very nifty, downloadable little manual. It is on a site http://www.cadets.ca which i am looking around on. There are other documents which may be of interest.

    Okay gave up on Kalahari.

Bought it from City Air Weapons in the UK.
Total cost including postage was R209.00.
Took all of 2 minutes. What a pleasure.
