    Hi Errol,
    Yes and Stoffeltoo is the expert there and I would suggest you contact him.It is still an experimental class and for the record in 2004 Jimmy Bekker won the World Champs in Bloemfontein using a Standard S 400 and Pikkie Wilson a South African schoolboy put many senior shooters' noses out of joint and not only in the air rifle event either.He also shoots 10m and FT now and again--what talent!!P.s.--Bloemfontein.

    Thanks importer
    Goto www.samssa.co.za. All rules are there, I have electronically and will post, moderator permitting.....
    The shoot will be held in September 2006 at the Bloemfontein shooting academy. You have to be a member of SAMSSA to compete in the event.

    Hi Urubus and other interested.

    I am writing this with response with ultimate care as the rules have not yet been finalized.

    First PCP 2 Classes nl: Production and silhouette class.
    Production (light class in .22 rimfire) - any PCP that represents a hunting rifle from the box with no adjustable or removable comb, buttplate hamster etc. No Scope limit, no lazer sights
    12 flb limit. Weight including scope 3.2kg

    Silhouette class: Any PCP with adjustable fittings like buttplate, hamster etc. limit 12flb. Any scope no lazer sights. Weight restriction uncertain but I think that it will come in at 4.2 kg including scope

    Distances: Chickens=18m/20Y
    Pigs =27m/30Y
    Turkeys =33m/35Y
    Rams =41m/45Y
    Shot in 5 shot strings with 2.5 minutes per string on banks of 10 animals. Total score out of 40. A hit if silhouette has fallen off rail.

    Springer.
    Springer open site- any spring operated rifle provided that it is shot open with open sites.
    Same time
    Distances: (Not quite sure but here goes)
    Chickens=10m
    Rams = 12.5m
    Turkeys = 15m and Rams 18meters

    All rifle disciplines shot from standing position only with a fellow shooting competitor/partner who is often the spotter as well.

    Competition to contend with in this discipline are the following. Pikkie Wilson (SA), Jimmy Bekker (SA), Kallie Odendaal(SA), Annette Roussouw(SA), Hose Rodriquez(USA), the Winstead duo(USA), probably Laura Peeters(USA).

    Hope this helps. Will get formal update and post on Forum ASAP

    3.2 Kg that will be a problem for us FT guys who want to cross over to Silhoette in the hope of improving out standing shots.Even 4.2 Kg's will push some of us out of the running.We (FTers ) will have to do it for fun.
